According to the Law on Audit, a legal entity subject to audit shall select an auditing firm and appoint it its auditor nor later than September 30, 2022 for FY 2022. This deadline may be extended only in the event of appointment of the auditor of the consolidated financial statements. 

Audit shall be mandatory for regular annual financial statements of:

- large and medium-sized legal entities;

- public companies in accordance with the law regulating the capital market regardless of their size; and

- any legal person or sole proprietor whose total income earned in the preceding business year exceeds EUR 4.4 million in dinar equivalent (RSD 517.361 thousand).
